Research Fellowship
If you are interested in applying for a research fellowship, please complete and return your application to the address indicated on the form. In addition, we require your curriculum vitae and three letters of recommendation, one of which is from your present director. Generally, preference is given to applicants who are planning to enter a teaching or research position. Any applicant who anticipates accepting such a position should obtain a letter from the chief of the department informing us that the position will be available to him or her upon completion of training at Proctor. Research fellowship applicants who are not U.S. citizens should attempt to obtain funds in their own countries.
Deadline
The deadline for submission of applications and other documents for research fellowships beginning in July of 2010 is September 1, 2009. Upon receipt of the indicated application, letters of recommendation, curriculum vitae, and personal statement, we will be glad to consider you as an applicant for one of our positions.
The Fellowship Committee of the Proctor Foundation meets in December to select the candidates who will be accepted for research fellowship training for the following July. Candidates will be notified of the committee's decision six months before the anticipated date of the start of the fellowship.
