Ways to donate to the Proctor Foundation include:

  • Unrestricted donations—the most useful form of support. These funds are allocated at the discretion of the Foundation Director.

  • Endowment funds for the establishment of a World Blindness Center to provide support for international pilot projects.

Amount of Support

Donations at any level, generally ranging from $25 to $100, are extremely useful.

Named endowed research funds start with a minimum donation of $25,000.

Endowed chairs require a minimum donation of $500,000 to $5,000,000.

Newly remodeled laboratories are essential to attract top-quality scientists. The cost for a typical laboratory remodel with equipment is approximately $2,000,000.

In order to properly establish the World Blindness Center, requested endowment donations are $5,000,000 to $10,000,000.
