IRA WONG’S RESEARCH

 Dr. Ira G. Wong is the outgoing Director of the Uveitis Service at the Proctor Foundation.  His interest is in developing new therapeutic approaches for treating ocular inflammatory diseases, including using new immunosuppressive agents for controlling severe ocular inflammation. During the past year Dr. Wong’s research focused on:  1) large population-based studies of the epidemiology of uveitis and other ocular inflammatory diseases, 2) computerized medical nomenclature, and 3) clinical trials.
